Costa Turquesa; The Latest Playa del Carmen Preconstruction Condo
The developers call this area Costa Turquesa and it is on the north part of 5th avenue. For those of you who are familiar with Playa del Carmen, Costa Turquesa is located from 46th street and extends north upto 72nd street (also known as Av. Colosio). At this point, you are at the mid point of the Costa Turquesa beach. If you continue going north on 5th avenue for example, parallel to the Costa Turquesa oceanfront, you will run another 8 blocks and run into the Grand Coral golf course which will be a signature design of Nick Price.
Costa Turquesa Playa del Carmen is approximately 30% into construction. We visited the show room and I was amazed at the views onto the ocean.
Our tour took us first to the area where 40,000 plants are kept in a nursery, and which will be replanted in the vast garden areas between the buildings. From here Michael took us to the roof top of the condo buildings located at front row. He made note that a study was done on positioning the condos to ensure maximum quality for views onto the ocean.

The Condo Hotel will have 101 rooms, and this building is to the far north part of the complex. If the condo owner wants to rent out his unit, he can choose the same Hotel Operator to administer his units rental and administration, otherwise, the condo owner can just keep his condo locked up 365 days the year.

Another nice feature for consideration are the windows having hurricane resistant qualities. The project sits 20 meters back from the water mark, plus another 20 or so meters. Here in Mexico, on oceanfront properties, the first 20 meters are federal land, and private properties proceed from this bordering public land.
But in this case, as Sand Dunes are present, another various meters place the buildings back even further. Personally, if you see the pictures, this gives natural setting gives the property an increase in value. Looking at the ocean, through sand dunes and natural vegetation gives increased privacy from the beach, and gives a calming, beautiful atmosphere. Helps protect the front of the buildings too as a natural barrier.
that special attention is being placed on the lighting, using L. E. Ds, and recessed placement throughout the unit and exteriors. Air conditioning by LG Cool were included throughout the spaces, raised sinks in the master bathroom, and a…..mouth opening patio and deck for the ground floor units. Check out the private pool that is included on the units of ground floor at Corto Turquesa condos. I paced off the pool, and it measured about 8 meters by 4, wooden deck surrounded the perimeter, and nice little waterfall feature were the factors that caught my attention.
There will be 2 Beach clubs, one is for the hotel portion of the complex, the other for the private condo units. The beach club is to offer grill/bar, lounge chairs, small and exclusive, people off of the beach will not have access as this will be exclusive for the owners of Costa Turquesa Condominiums. Each unit has been designed to protect ocean views. And of course, many will have views onto the center garden and pool areas.
there is high interest in what plans the developers have in store to continue the expanding walking zone and tourist attraction of this world famous avenue.
